Chris Licht, CEO of CNN, will leave the direction of the American news channel. The departure comes at a particularly crucial time for CNN, as the 2024 U.S.

presidential campaign kicks off. The network said that Chris Licht's replacement had not yet been chosen. CNN would rely on a team of interim executives, consisting of three vice presidents already within the group for editorial matters and number two for the commercial part. The New York Times published a long article on Sunday suggesting that Jeff Zucker would see himself returning to the helm of the network.
