King Charles III was officially crowned Saturday at Westminster Abbey after a majestic ceremony. On the other hand, he took office on 8 September, the day of the death of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The new monarch holds the crucigerous orb in his left hand, the scepter in his right hand and wears the imperial crown, adorned with rubies, amethysts and other sapphires. On Monday, the royal family published on its Twitter account the first official portrait of King Charles III.
