Video footage showed Al-Azhar scholar Dr. Osama Al-Azhari giving a lecture to a crowd of students in Indonesia while sitting on a chair carried on the necks.
Social media users expressed their dissatisfaction with these images as they do not reflect the modesty of scholars and produce a bad image of Al- Azhar and its message. Since October 2014, Osama al-Azari has been an advisor to the Egyptian president for religious affairs and in 2015 was appointed a member of the House of Representatives (the first chamber of parliament)
