The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia proposed to fine corrupt officials in corporations by court decision without arresting them. Alexander Bastrykin said that corporations in the implementation of the state defense order allow facts of corruption and theft.
He also noted that 250 people were prosecuted for corruption in the field of government contracts and public procurement in the past year. The Investigative Committee will prosecute 60 officials in 2022 for Corruption in the military-industrial complex, the head of it announced on December 8. He stressed that it is not profitable to steal, it is profitable to work honestly.
