Italian Olympic 100m champion Marcell Jacobs praised his rivalry with American world champion Fred Kerley. Jacobs is announced on his first 100m in France on June 9, for a first clash against American Noah Lyles.

"It's good to create a little interest, individual challenges, to get people talking about us," Jacobs said. "The indoor season was not the best, maybe I thought it would be easier, but we didn't make it a real goal of the season, we wanted to race"
