Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, state president, and chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended a forum on cultural inheritance and development in Beijing on 2 June. He stressed that continuing to promote cultural prosperity, build a culturally powerful country, and build the modern civilization of the Chinese nation at a new starting point is our new cultural mission in the new era.

Xi Jinping inspected the China National Version Museum and the Chinese Academy of History. He also visited the Chinese Archaeology Museum in the courtyard and learned about the major archaeological discoveries of the Neolithic period.
