Local police have killed the shooter at the Allen Premium Outlets, in a town outside Dallas. A man has killed at least eight people, including children, and has left seven others injured, three of them very seriously.

The shooter was also killed, shot dead by a police officer, the Allen Police Department confirmed at a news conference. So far it is unknown what motivated the attacker, who acted alone, to open fire.Saturday's shooting in Texas is the latest in a long and almost daily list of mass shootings in the United States so far this year.
