Kosuke Takashima, the new mayor of Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, who took office at the age of 26, expressed his aspiration to realize education tailored to each individual in public education. At his inaugural press conference, he indicated that he would prioritize the redevelopment of the south side of JR Ashiyas Station, which was finally approved in March last year, from the perspective of protecting the safety of citizens.
