Amnesty International called on the United Nations to continue delivering aid to northern Syria through two crossings. The UN has adopted four border crossings to bring humanitarian aid across the border without the consent of the Syrian government.

Following pressure from Moscow, the number has been reduced to the Bab al-Hawa crossing in Idlib since 4.6 February. Local aid organizations and opposition activists criticized the UN for delaying the dispatch of relief and humanitarian aid convoys in response to the disaster, which has exacerbated suffering of the population.
