The judiciary has secured the provisional release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan after ruling that his arrest and bail in the cases that pursue him are invalid. Khan faces more than 100 cases that make him vulnerable to arrest at any time.

The government and others will seek to arrest Imran Khan because they cannot "bear" his free existence, says the director of the Islamabad Center for Political Studies, Abdul Karim Shah. The analyst believes things will calm down for only a few days, as prosecutions against Khan continue.
