Nine very old riflemen, who fought for the France especially in Indochina and Algeria, arrived Friday in Senegal to end serenely their lives. The happy epilogue of a long battle with the French administration to have their "sacrifices" recognized.

A derogation decided by the French government allows them to live permanently in Senegal without losing their minimum old-age allowance of 950 euros per month. The first step of the return is a meeting on Friday with President Macky Sall at the presidential palace.
