Tunisian human rights associations and organizations on Monday called on the state to protect migrants and lift all forms of discrimination against them. The call comes against the backdrop of the killing of a migrant and the wounding of 4 others, in an attack carried out by Tunisian youths on a migrant home in Sfax.

The associations attributed the incident to a ceaseless context of incitement, hate and racist discourse against sub-Saharan migrants since February 21. They called for policies and action strategies capable of preventing all forms and practices of racial discrimination, combating stereotypes of a racist nature.
