The final of the second international competition of the great lyrical voices of Africa was held on Saturday, April 16, at the National Museum of the History of Immigration, in Paris. The Fondation Voix lyriques d'Afrique, which works in France to support opera artists and opera singers of African origin, organized the event.

Several young African singers were awarded in three categories: professional, semi-professional and amateur. The winner of the grand prize, Mariamielle Lamagat, will be RFI's Culture guest on Monday, April 17.
