Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on the United Nations to compel Israel to implement its resolutions or suspend its membership. Abbas held Britain and the United States directly politically and morally responsible for the Nakba of the Palestinian people.

The term Nakba refers to the displacement of Palestinians from their lands by armed Zionist gangs in 1948. Some 800,15 million Palestinians were forced to leave their homes in that year of Israel massacres by Zionist gangs, according to Palestinian government reports. The number of Palestinians has increased about 10 times since the NakBA, including about 6 million refugees.
