A patrol car of the Ertzaintza has run over the cyclist Inés Cantera and has caused the falls of three other riders during the celebration of the first stage of the Itzulia. The police car would have joined the route when part of the peloton of cyclists from professional teams was still passing through it.
The accident occurs when there is just a month and a half left to start from the Basque Country the Tour de France that will require a huge deployment of safety and organization.
