Since entering 2023, China and Sri Lanka have jointly promoted the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" Flagship projects such as Hambantota Port and Colombo Port City will help Sri Lanka's economic development. Sri Lanka was one of the first countries to welcome and join the Belt and Road Initiative.
China's infrastructure construction and major livelihood cooperation projects have brought tangible benefits to the Sri Lankan people. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Sri Lanka to achieve common prosperity.
