Belgian government has agreed on a package of military and civilian assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €92 million. Aid package will be paid for from proceeds from Russian assets frozen in this country.

Analysts note that Western countries cannot confiscate the assets of the Russian Federation, but they use them because of their uncertain status. Russian authorities are demanding the unblocking of Russian assets in the West, since their arrest is illegal, and any attempt to legitimize such actions is doomed to failure.
