Former British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn thanked Palestinians around the world for their courage in confronting the Israeli occupation. Nakba is a term that symbolizes the mass forced displacement in 1948 of more than 750,75 Palestinians from their homes and land.

Corbyn reiterated his support for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who faced a five-day Israeli aggression before the ceasefire went into effect on Saturday evening. For years, Corbyn remained a difficult figure in British politics, coming close to becoming prime minister in the 2019 election, but was removed from the Labour Party presidency in 2020.
