Los Algodones, a small town on the Mexican border with the United States, is nicknamed "Molar City" For more than 30 years, the town has served as an escape from the random or overpriced coverage of the U.S. healthcare system.

About 300 dental offices and 600 practitioners are crammed into the four main streets. The town even runs a website, molarcity.org, to help patients organize their stay.. Despite fierce competition, demand remains inexhaustible. During the high season, from November to March, about 6,000 tourists every day.
