[HIGHLIGHTS] "I can't stand aside and watch": the head of the village council in Bashkortostan left his post and went to the front

Rustam Safin is the head of the Meshchegarsky village council of Bashkiria. He left his post and volunteered for the front in July 2022, becoming the commander of the combined armored group and the driver of the BMP-3 with the call sign Selsovet.

RT spoke with the Safin family and found out how they live now.Rustam's brother Salavat in 2018 went to military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and later signed a contract.
