On April 4, Xingkai Lake, the largest boundary lake between China and Russia, crossed a large number of migratory birds every day. The number of first-class protected birds such as white-tailed sea eagles and red-crowned cranes has also increased slightly compared with previous years.

There are 289 species of birds in the lake, including 17 species of first class protected birds and 55 species of second class birds. The peak migration period is from March 3 to April 24 every year.
