Italian regions of Emilia-Romagna and Marche continue to be hit by severe storms. After heavy rainfall, the areas on the Adriatic coast have experienced dramatic flooding.

Two people were killed in Forlì and Cesena, as reported by the Ansa news agency. More than 900 people have had to be evacuated to safety since Tuesday as rivers or streams burst their banks or at least threatened to overflow due to the heavy rain. Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her "full solidarity" with the people in the affected regions.
