The preliminary results of the Turkish presidential elections showed that Erdogan won 49.51% of the votes. The People's Alliance, which includes the Justice and Development Party (AKP), the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and other parties, received 35.02% of votes.

A former parliamentarian said that the president was not competing with the Nation Alliance alone, and therefore achieving this progress was a prominent success. A women's official in the Republican People's Party said the first round of the elections was not in a fair and equal atmosphere.
