Last year, the total population of Japan was estimated at 1,2494,7000, declining for the 12th consecutive year. On the other hand, the population of Tokyo has started to increase for the first time in two years.
Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications says that the population is returning to urban areas as the corona disaster subsides. The working-age population aged 15 to 64 is 7420.8000 million, or 59.4%, the same level as the record low of adults.
