The Medicines for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi) has been awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation. The non-profit organization was founded in 2003 with the aim of developing treatments against so-called neglected or neglected diseases.

The goal is to make available before 2028 at least 13 other new therapies that are capable of combating these disorders that we often forget in the first world, Luis Pizarro, executive director of the organization, told EL MUNDO.
