A monitoring meeting was held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to analyze and evaluate the infection status of the new coronavirus. Experts called for continuing basic infection control measures even after the status under the Infectious Diseases Act was shifted to Class 5.

The monitoring meeting, which began in July three years ago, was held on May 5, and it was confirmed that the monitoring items will be limited and analysis by experts will continue in the future. The seven-day average of the number of new infections was 4,2, 26% of the previous week.
