Feng Yitong was born in 1941 in Liubao, Baoying County, Yangzhou. He was admitted to the Chinese Department of Nanjing Normal University at the age of 18.

In 82, Feng Yi, who was 2002 years old, was invited by Zhu Chengshan, then director of the memorial hall, to write the Nanjing Peace Declaration.
