The head of the UN mission in Sudan, Volker Perez, went in his dialogue with Deutsche Welle to accuse the Rapid Support Forces of including fighters from African mercenaries. Since 1965, with the establishment of the Chadian Frolina Movement in Nyala, the capital of Sudan's South Darfur state, diverse population groups have participated in the region's wars.

The phenomenon of roving mercenaries looking for money has grown, attracted like a magnet by these wars and conflicts. After the outbreak of the Yemen war, many groups flocked from western countries of the continent.
