On the night of the 8th, the Ground Self-Defense Force received information that a person appeared to be floating near the coast of Irabu Island in Okinawa Prefecture. A helicopter carrying 10 people disappeared in flight, and the Self- defense forces are checking it.
A Japan Coast Guard helicopter searched for it by shining it with searchlights while circling in the sky, but so far no clues have been found. A ship equipped with sonar is expected to arrive in the area on the 9th.
