The traditional spring festival "Seikashiwa" in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, was held on the 4th. Three huge floats called "Dekayama" were lined up in front of the city's main square.
The event is registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The festival will last until the 5th, when three more huge floats will be lined up. The floats are 12 meters high and weigh 20 tons each, and are made of wood.
