Hollywood screenwriters threaten to stop work in the coming days. The agreement between their union and the alliance of TV channels, film studios and streaming platforms expires on 1 May.

If negotiations fail, 97.85% of them will start a strike movement, which, if extended, could affect next year's cinema releases. The situation is reminiscent of the massive strike observed in November 2007 and February 2008, paralyzing the entire production chain for 100 days and resulting in estimated $2.1 billion in losses to the industry.
