It has been 2 days and one month since the accident in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, in which a boat capsized while going down the Hozu River, killing two boatmen. The operating company has suspended flights and is reviewing safety measures, but wants to improve because of insufficient emergency preparedness.
The operator believes the boatman behind him accidentally fell into the river and hit a rock and capsized, and police and the national transportation safety board are investigating the cause of the accident.
