Air spotter Lilya, active in the Ukrainian military, is released in a prisoner exchange after being imprisoned by the Russian-loyal separatists in Donbass. The film's premiere shortly after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine makes it acutely topical, according to Kulturnyheterna's film critic Fredrik Sahlin.

Documentary realism is mixed with a creative flow of TikTok larps, preachy internet trolls, ultrasound and distanced drone footage. At some points, the image cracks in instantaneous, pixelated visions of what Lilya has been through.
