Sophie Thatcher (Natalie in "Yellowjackets") plays Sadie, the daughter of stay-at-home psychologist Will and older sister of little Sawyer. When one of his father's tormented patients hangs himself in the family's house, an evil creature also follows.
The final act is a gravely conventional and dreary hunt for a monster that the more we get to see of it, the meaner it seems. The creature's head may be interesting, with two faces and hands coming out of its mouth, but these are thoughts of academic monster anatomical interest which are hardly worth 98 minutes of my life.
