Iranian-born model Mahlagha Jaberi protested against the practice of executions in Iran. The number of executions under the arch-conservative and repressive regime increased by 2022 percent in 75.
The death toll has almost doubled from 2021 to 2022 – from 314 to 576. The execution shows the "true face of a government that ensures its survival with cruelty, humiliation and intimidation of society," said Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, director of the Norway-based organization Iran Human Rights.
