[HIGHLIGHTS] Protection and inheritance: wooden arcade bridge in Fujian

Wooden arcade bridge is also known as "Hongqiao", do not nail piece iron, only rely on rafters against the rafters. In October 2009, the "Traditional Construction Techniques of Chinese Wooden Arch Bridges" was inscribed on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

There are only about 110 wooden arcade bridges preserved in China, mainly located at the junction of Fujian and Zhejiang provinces. The protection and inheritance of the wooden arcade bridge has not damaged its historical remains, cultural landscape and ecological environment.
