Prince Akishino and his wife departed from Tokyo's Haneda Airport on June 4 to attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles of the United Kingdom. The couple are scheduled to arrive at Stansted Airport on the afternoon of the 4th local time, attend a reception hosted by King Charles at Buckingham Palace on the 5th, and attend the ceremony at Westminster Abbey on the morning of the 6th.
This is the first time that Mr. and Mrs.Akishino will make an official visit to the United UK.
