French choreographer Pierre Lacotte, died on Monday, April 10 at the age of 91. He was known for his reconstructions of nineteenth-century ballets for the world's largest companies.

The choreographer died in a clinic in La Seyne-sur-Mer, Var, of sepsis after the infection of a wound. His last creation dates back to October 2021, with the ballet adaptation of Stendhal's novel, "Le Rouge et le Noir" for the Paris Opera.
