Police are investigating the idea that the purpose was to peep and break into the rooms of female college students. The suspect, 43, is a former office worker from Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
He was arrested last month on suspicion of breaking into a female college student's room through an unlocked front door and touching her body. A female student lives in the room next to her relatives, and she admitted to the charge, saying, "I heard that a cute woman lives in that room, and I did it to touch her body"
