Aokijima Amusement Park in Nagano City was closed due to complaints about noise from neighboring residents. Construction began on the 17th to close the park and cut down trees and remove playground equipment.
The playground equipment will be removed and relocated in the future. The city is considering a plan to use the playground of a nearby elementary school to secure a new playground for children at after-school daycare facilities that have mainly used this park. It has not been clarified how negotiations proceeded with the landowner.
