Three former executives of AOKI Holdings, including former Chairman Hironori Aoki, were accused of bribing a former director of the organizing committee for the Tokyo Games. The Tokyo District Court handed down suspended sentences to the three men in April, and the verdicts were confirmed on May 2800 after both the former executives and prosecutors failed to appeal the sentence.

The company is taking measures to prevent recurrence, such as reviewing its system for assessing compliance risks related to new transactions and strengthening internal audits.
