A Muslim group is planning to open an earthen burial cemetery in Hinode Town, Oita Prefecture. The group and local residents will officially open it on the 9th.
The agreement includes a 1-year interval between multiple dead people in a single compartment. Residents of Kitsuki City, which is adjacent to the town-owned land planned for the cemetery, have voiced their opposition to the opening of the cemetery due to concerns about reputational damage and distrust of the town's response.
