crime writer Håkan Nesser is charged with serious tax evasion. Nesser and another person transferred close to SEK 15 million out of companies in Malta without reporting the dividends to the Swedish Tax Agency.

The scheme in Malta was revealed by Kulturnyheterna and Uppdrag Granskning in 2018 in connection with the Paradise leak. The crime is serious, not only in terms of amount, but also difficult to detect, says Anne-Charlotte Boo, prosecutor at the Swedish Economic Crime Authority.
