Men account for 66 percent of the media presence in domestic news and women for 34 percent. In foreign news, the difference is greater.

Seven out of ten experts who appear in the media are men. Non-white people are almost non-existent outside of sports. People with larger bodies are underrepresented. Their bodies are also often cropped from the picture. "The media have a responsibility to reflect society, and we are failing to do that," says Martin Schori, deputy editorial director at Aftonbladet.
