Ahmad Jamal, one of the biggest stars in the jazz world, has died at the age of 92. African-American pianist author of an impressive discography, he has marked several generations of musicians.

He became a legend in 1958 with his album Pershing Jazz club, which sold more than 1 million copies. His innovative musical concept has influenced the greatest musicians such as trumpeter Miles Davis. He has toured the world's biggest stages and received the most prestigious awards, including a Grammy Award for his career spanning more than 70 years.
