"Hang City" is set in Yvesand's childhood town Luleå on a summer holiday in 1999. Three barely teenage boys hang around in kindergartens and in wooded areas.
The novel's accurate portrayal of "directionless boy energy" seems to have resonated with readers. In "H hang City" a murder story, a bestial murder committed in a residential neighborhood, is also depicted through testimony. But the murder doesn't really play a central role in the novel, andYvesand isn't that interested in action.
