Women who became pregnant due to illegal violence were evacuated from former Manchuria. A memorial service was held for them on the 14th at the site of a nursing home in Chikushino City, Fukuoka.

At least 200 people were said to have had abortions at the nursing home before it was closed in 1947. The memorial was held in front of a stone monument engraved with the word "Jin" and burned incense to honor the women who had been beaten by the Soviet army.
