An expert panel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has compiled an opinion. The panel says SNS and other businesses should be required to establish a window for deletion applications.
It says that "deletion guidelines" should be created and made public, which summarize the criteria for responding to deletion when requested. On the other hand, it says that we should be cautious about obliging government agencies to respond to requests to delete illegal posts from the viewpoint of freedom of expression.
