Left-wing extremist Lina E. was sentenced to five years and three months in prison in Dresden.
The Federal Prosecutor's Office had demanded a higher sentence – and is now taking action against the verdict. The 28-year-old is appealing in the case, a spokeswoman confirmed. The three co-accused men received sentences ranging from two years and five months to three years and 3 months. They were found guilty of membership or support of a criminal organization. The trial, which has been ongoing since September 2021, continues.
