JUICE will depart today for turbulent Jupiter and its icy moons to find out if they qualify for life. The relay of the lift-off from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou will begin at 13.45 p.m.

If all goes well, the ship will take off half an hour later. Juice will be the first spacecraft to orbit a moon other than our own, Ganymede. It will also be a pioneer in performing a gravitational assistance maneuver Moon-Earth to save fuel.
